Fourth Win in a Row; Third Series Sweep

The Twins ended the Fall Ball Season topping the Rockhounds, 11-2.  The win was the Twins fourth consecutive victory.  The win also capped the season series from the Rockhounds.

The Rockhounds played a gritty, good game.  However, the Twins were up for the challenge.

Twins starting pitcher, Nick Fava worked out of a bases loaded jam in the first inning to keep it scoreless.  The Twins scored four times in the bottom of the inning to take an early 4-0 lead.

Both teams scored in the second frame making it a 5-2 game in favor of the Twins after two complete.

The Hounds came back and tried to rally.  Nick Fava, now catching, gunned down a runner trying to steal second base.  He later cut down a runner attempting to steal third base.  The Twins would go on to score six unanswered runs to put this one away.

Braden Dawes, Nicholas Yum & Ben Enos pitched for the Twins and turned in excellent performances.  Eight of nine Twins players scored at least one run in the season ender for both teams.

It was a great way to end the season as both teams played a great game and had fun.

Teams Split Season Series; Win Streak at 3

The Twins defeated the Hooks, 14-2, in the second to last game of the season.

The victory by the Twins, avenged an earlier season loss to the Hooks and gained a series split for the two teams.

The Twins were led by pitcher Drew Hoogendam.  Drew pitches 2 1/3 scoreless innings; striking out 7 batters.  Then he hit an inside-the-park grand slam in the fourth inning to close out the scoring for the Twins.  This was the second round tripper with the bases full of Twins this season.  Weston Stanley accomplished the feat earlier this season.

Mac Sage & Nicholas Yum tossed an inning of solid middle relief.

For the second game in a row, all but one of the Twins scored at least one run in this contest.  Closer, Ben Enos came into the game to pitch the last inning and did an excellent job getting the last three outs.

With the win, the Twins extended thier curernt winning streak to three games for the second time this season.  The Twins record is 6-3 thus far.  They will look to "run the table" this Sunday when they take on the Rockhounds.

Twins Down Bats, 12-7

Complete Second Straight Series Sweep

The Twins outscored the Bats, 12-7, to register their second straight series sweep of the season.  The Twins led this one from start to finish in notching their second win in a row.

Twins leadoff batter, Nick Fava tripled to start the game.  He scored on a wild pitch to give the Twins an early 1-0 lead.  The Twins would score three more times as Braden Dawes, Drew Hoogendam and Weston Stanley all came home, giving the Twins a 4-0 advantage going into the bottom of the first inning.

Mac Sage & Drew Hoogendam pitched for the Twins.  They mastered the strike zone and held the lead for the Twins.  Braden Dawes came in to pitch in relief and held the Bats in check the rest of the way.

Defense was an important part of this game.  Catcher Ben Enos and third baseman Nicholas Yum teammed up to nail a Bats runner attempting to steal third and stopped a potential Bats rally.  Nicholas Yum had a big role with his bat as well.  He surprised everyone as he laid down a prefect bunt that opened the door for another Twins four-run rally.

The Twins now prepare for a rematch with the Hooks on Sunday.
