What is Challenger?
The West University LL Challenger Division is a baseball league for kids ages 5-18 with physical or mental challenges. Each player is assigned a junior high or high school volunteer (a “BUDDY”) to help them enjoy the game - the Buddies are there to engage our players in conversation, help them hit, throw, catch, and run, and ensure their safety.
This is a fun and rewarding way to give back to your community and a great way to earn service hours.
When do we play?
All games will be played at 2:00 pm on the WULL fields on the following Sundays: March 24, April 7, 14, 21, 28 and May 5. We ask all Buddies to arrive 30 minutes before the games (1:30). Our games last approximately 1 hour. Buddies are asked to commit to at least 3 games.
I want to be a BUDDY! How do I register?
Just complete the registration form. Registration is free.
