The West University Little League begins its 2016 Season with an Opening Day Ceremony, Carnival and Bazaar on Saturday, March 5. The event is free and open to the public thanks to the generosity of The Woman’s Hospital of Texas, Pediatric Center, the Carnival’s Grand Sponsor.

The Carnival will commence after Opening Ceremonies, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will take place in front of West University Elementary School in the 3700 block of University Boulevard. The annual “Go Green” Carnival is eagerly anticipated by WULL players and their families. From giant inflatables, a rock wall, and dozens of games, to the ever-popular confetti eggs, there will be something for all ages to enjoy.

James Coney Island will serve hot dogs, hamburgers and Greek salads to those who pre-purchased meal tickets. Limited meal tickets will be on sale at the carnival. Chick-Fil-A, Collina’s Pizza and the Taco Nuts food truck will also offer food options. Save room for dessert with an array of sweet treats from Grizzaffi Coffee, Michael’s Cookie Jar, Dippin’ Dots and Kona Ice!

Baseball players should check out must-have goods from Battlefield Sports and the WULL Gear booth. Adults can shop many local retail vendors at the Bazaar including Lariats by Lily, Cotton and Paisley, and Harlan & Co.

Co-Chairs of this year’s event, Molly Khalil, Alisa Mengwasser, Heather Curran Kelly and Kelly Frew guarantee a fun-filled day for all.
