Tadpole ROOKIE Division (5 year old’s)

How many practices are there each week?
The Tadpole Rookies have one practice/clinic per week.

When and where are the practices located?
The Rookies typically practice at the Tadpole field on the Main West U Campus.  They are typically scheduled in the early evening on a weeknight.

How are the practices structured?
The Rookie practices are structured as clinics with 3-4 teams going through drills on the fundamental skills that are lead by professional instructors and each team’s manager and coaches.

How many games are there each week and over the entire season?
The Rookies will play a maximum of one game a week (typically on Saturdays on Tadpole Field) and will play 6 games during the season.  The games typically start in late February and end in May.

What is the format of the games?
Rookie games are instructional rather than competitive.  The entire season uses tee’s for batting and there is roster batting each inning with no outs recorded and score is not kept.


Tadpole VARSITY Division (6 year old’s)

How many practices are there each week?
The Varsity teams have one field practice and one batting cage each week.

How are the practices structured?
There will be a field practice that will focus on developing defensive fundamentals.  Field practices are held on various fields at the WULL complexes.  The batting cage will be exclusively focused on batting fundamentals and will help in transitioning to the batting machine.

How many games are there each week and over the entire season?
The Varsity teams typically play one game a week and will play approximately 8 games during the season.  The games typically start in late February and end in May.

What is the format of the games?
Varsity games are instructional rather than competitive.  The season will start out using tees and will transition mid-season to pitching machines for batting.  There is roster batting each inning with no outs recorded and score is not kept.
